Training the intervention crews at Aquila Warehouse in the Ploiesti Industrial West Park
The Aquila team received the "Very Good" rating for a new intervention simulation in case of emergency situations. The ISU PH and SPSU Parc Alianso intervention crews aimed to train employees in order to prevent serious scenarios that may occur in the warehouse.
November 25th brought us together with the team of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations for an explosion training exercise, that included a metal shelf with many packaged products, in the pressure vessels area of the bunker. During the simulation we took into account specific special situations that required emergency evacuation from the affected area.
As employee safety and common help are important features in our organizational culture, a road accident was simulated, that aimed to provide medical assistance and first aid to the incarcerated victims. Through these tactical exercises our goal is to be prepared in the event of major accidents and test the responsiveness of Aquila employees.
We also aimed to increase the fire safety level, as well as limit the negative effects of disasters that can happen at the workplace. During the event, the Internal and External Emergency Plan of the objective, the Red Plan of Intervention and the County Plan of Knowledge and Alarm of the West Park Ploiesti Industrial Park were implemented.
The crews approached the operative organization of the intervention on sectors, the rescue and evacuation of the victims from the affected area being carried out simultaneously with the actions of locating and liquidating the fire.
More than 90 firefighters, doctors, policemen, nurses and Aquila employees participated in the exercise, along with five water and foam trucks, two fireman staircases, two extrication trucks, a special vehicle for mass transport and multiple victims, an intervention vehicle for collective accidents and calamities, five SMURD ambulances, six first intervention and command trucks and two task force trucks which were involved in the simulated situation.
No irregularities were found in the final evaluation. We thank all those involved, together with the journalists and media partners.
